Free 50 Cent Lyrics
Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1976),better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper. He rose to fame with the release of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) and The Massacre (2005). Both albums achieved multi-platinum success, selling more than twenty-one million copies combined.
Born in South Jamaica, Queens, 50 Cent began drug dealing at the age of twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he was shot at and struck by nine bullets during an incident in 2000. After releasing his album Guess Who's Back? in 2002, 50 Cent was discovered by rapper Eminem and signed to Interscope Records. With the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre—who produced his first major commercial successes—he became one of the world's highest selling rappers. In 2003, he founded the record label G-Unit Records, which signed several successful rappers such as Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo.
50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'ron, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.
On October 13, 1997, 50 Cent's then-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins gave birth to a son, Marquise Jackson.Tompkins later sued 50 Cent for $50 million dollars, claiming that he said that he would take care of her for life; the suit, which includes 15 claims was later dismissed by a judge, calling it "an unfortunate tale of a love relationship gone sour."As of February 2009, Tompkins' and her lawyer are considering an appeal.
The birth of his son changed 50 Cent's outlook on life: "when my son came into my life, my priorities changed, because I wanted to have the relationship with him, that I didn’t have with my father".He credited his son for inspiring his career and being "motivation to go in a different direction". 50 Cent has a tattoo of "Marquise" with an axe on his right biceps. "The axe is 'cause I'm a warrior. I don't want him to be one, though",he explains. He also has "50", "Southside", and "Cold World" inscribed on his back because "I'm a product of that environment. It's on my back, though, so it's all behind me".50 Cent dated actress Vivica A.Fox in 2003. After a few months, he announced their split up on the The Howard Stern Show when pictures from a photo shoot they did ended up on the cover of Today's Black Woman magazine without his knowledge.
In 2005, 50 Cent expressed support for President George W. Bush after rapper Kanye West criticized him for the slow response in assisting the Hurricane Katrina victims. If his felony convictions did not prevent him from voting, he claimed he would have voted for Bush. He later stated that Bush "has less compassion than the average human. By all means, I don’t aspire to be like George Bush".
In 2007, Forbes recognized 50 Cent for his wealth, placing him second behind Jay-Z in the rap industry. He resides in Farmington, Connecticut, in the former mansion of ex-boxer Mike Tyson. He put the mansion for sale at US$18.5 million to move closer to his son who lives in Long Island with his ex-girlfriend. On October 12, 2007, the Mayor of Bridgeport, Connecticut declared it "50 Cent Curtis Jackson Day". He was honored with a key to the city and an official proclamation. One of his homes in New York purchased for 2.4 million dollars in January 2007 and at the center of a lawsuit between 50 Cent and ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins caught fire on May 31, 2008 while he was out of town filming for a movie in Louisiana.
In December 2008 50 told the Canadian Press that he had already been hit by the recession, losing several million dollars on the stock market. He also went on to say that he had been unable to sell his Connecticut mansion and pushed Before I Self-Destruct back because of the recent economic downturn.

This album is severely underrated and I think it is definitely one of the best. People hate on 50 because his latest stuff has not been as good, but this album was untouchable back in the day. You could listen to it straight through with out skipping a track. It was all hot, and that is something that is not common with a lot of rap albums being put out today. This album was raw and the beats from dre were some of his best. This album has to be considered in the top 10 hip hop albums ever made. Its that good.
People really unfairly rate GRODT. Some people giving it one star literally never even heard this album, they just hate 50 Cent period. Well, instead of hating on him for his post GRODT releases, actually listen to this album. I know The Massacre is a bad album. He sold out bad with Candy Shop and all of the other pop songs on the album. However, GRODT was when he was hungry and had something to prove. In Da Club and P.I.M.P. are tired now but the rest of the album is fire. Blood Hound is probably my favorite song on the whole album. I know some people were turned off by the singles, but just hearing the first song on the album, What Up Gangsta, changed their minds. Anyone calling 50 Cent fake obviously knows nothing about his life. If you're gonna hate on 50 Cent at least listen to this entire album before judging him. If I never would've listened to this whole album, I wouldn't have thought much of him neither.
okay i love wu tang (all of of em u-god, ins, masta) most of the wu tang affliets (killarmy, gravediggaz, cappadona, sunz of man and killah presit) and honestly this album is great now i understand this is very comerical not just the lyrics but the phat beats by dre but it is an undienable classic listen to massacare and curtis and tell me if that bull**** even comes close so this is pretty much 50's only classic lp so far. in the coments tell me the songs you don't like and why you don't like them and maybe i will change my rating so it stays at 3 12 stars
one of the best hip hop albums because he lived what he was rapping at the time and his song writing ability is unequaled.
This is in my opinion the best rap album of the decade. It is a masterpiece and a MUST have for any hip-hop fan.

I'm going to keep this short and simple. The truth is, the material on this CD isn't the best from 50 Cent. There are a few good songs that you can listen to over and over, most of the beats on the CD are pretty good, and basically that is it. If you are a "gangster" or a person who likes to play loud rap music in their car, this is for you. If you don't fall into this category, I'm sorry, but you'll end up being quite disappointed.
Let's be honest. When a rapper has only hype going for him then an album like this bound to happen. Get Rich Or Die Tryin' was far from a classic but its the best album 50's ever made and this one proves it. The biggest flaw of the album is repetition. You've heard it all before on Get Rich Or Die Tryin so thats a problem. The production is suspect is another problem. The Good: Ski Mask Way and Hate Or Love It Remix(featuring G-unit) are the best tracks on here. Just A Lil Bit is okay but thats it. The Bad: In My Hood while the beat is not bad 50,s verses leave something to be desired. This Is 50 and Im Supposed To Die Tonight, I Dont Need Em and Position Of Power are all fillerific tracks. Disco Inferno was a corny club track and he shot and missed with the failed club attempt Outta Control(the remix is trash too). The Ugly: Candy Shop featuring Olivia sucks! Plus Scott Storch shouldnt be allowed to produce porno music seeing that his beats would kill the mood! Gatman and Robin feat. Eminem is hot garbage and Em's beats get lamer and lamer. Case in point with Toy Soldiers, the track was butt and so was that beat and is it me or does that hook sound exactly like 2pac's Lil Homies? Piggybank is the worst diss record in rap history and Gunz Come Out is about as grating as somebody scratching a chalkboard with their fingernails. So Amazing and Build You Up are to power ballads that should have been shelved like this album. Bottom Line: 50 Cent's The Massacre is the worst sophomore jinx of all sophomore jinxes. The production was weak, 50 uninspired and the chick songs made Mesmerized sound like I Need Love. One last thing before I leave. You Brokeback Mountaineers need to take your a**es back to the farm where you belong(dont forget to take your crossdressing metalhead brothers with you). Every time I come on here I have to read your snide remarks and the funny thing is that you are all a bunch of balless sissies! You hate these rappers just because they are doing better than you. You jealous cowards! You schizophrenic baboons! What punks! I really feel for anybody that has you bipolar f****ts as friends! Inbred chumps!
get rich or die tryin is not comparable to this album, because his freshman album was straight up hardcore gangsta with great songs throughout the album exclusinf Wanksta and in da club b/c they were old. but on THIS ALBUM he came out pretty soft. i would say he has gone pop becasue the soundtrack for his movies is garbage as well and i own all his albums not that i'm sucker it just that i though he'll go back to hardcore gangsta music at some point but didn't happened. if you're looking for an old 50 album which is good look for guss whos back? album. overall i think this album is bubble gum.
i gave this album less than 3 stars because it has more bad songs than good ones. i think there are many tracks 50 shuldve left out. some of the songs aren't bad and have a real grimy feeling to it like get in my car,im supposed to die tonight,in my hood. there are about 12 songs in this album 50 shuldve left out or replaced with something else.
THIS IS THE BEST RAP ALBUM 0F 2005 THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN' TOP 10 SONGS 1.I'M SUPPOSED TO DIE TONIGHT 2.IN MY HOOD 3.GET IN MY CAR 4.PIGGY BANK 5.SO AMAZING 6.I DON'T NEED EM' 7.DISCO INFERNO 8.JUST A LITTLE BIT 9.CANDY SHOP 10.GUNZ COME OUT

I love this album. Please go out and buy this album. Don't write mean reviews about this album. Make this album a classic like his first studio album and his second studio album. And go out and get his fourth studio album when it comes out.
